This Privacy Policy describes how LocalVIP ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the LocalVIP mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
• Profile Information: City and state, and any optional profile details you choose to add.
• Payment Information: To process wallet withdrawals, we collect payment details (bank account or payment method). Payment information is processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. LocalVIP does not store your full payment credentials on our servers.
• Business Information: If you register as a business, we collect your business name, address, contact information, and tax identification number as required for payment processing.
• Communications: When you contact us, we collect the content of your messages.

Information We Collect Automatically

• Transaction Data: Records of purchases, cash back earned, bonus cash credited, and wallet activity.
• Referral Data: Information about who referred you to LocalVIP and who you have referred.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Usage Data: App features accessed, pages viewed, time spent in app, and interaction patterns.
• Location Data: With your permission, approximate location to surface nearby LocalVIP businesses. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
• Log Data: Server logs including access times, error logs, and app crash reports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process transactions and credit cash back and bonus cash to your wallet
• Process wallet withdrawals and payments
• Track and credit your referral network activity
• Show you nearby LocalVIP businesses and relevant deals
• Send transactional notifications (new referral sign-ups, bonus cash credited, withdrawal confirmation)
• Send service-related communications (Terms updates, security alerts)
• With your consent, send promotional communications about LocalVIP offers and updates
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations
• Improve and develop the Service

3. How We Share Your Information

LocalVIP does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf, including:

• Stripe — payment processing and bank transfers
• Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and data storage
• Analytics providers — aggregate app usage analysis (no personally identifiable information shared)
• Email and SMS providers — transactional and notification delivery

All service providers are bound by contractual obligations to use your data only for the purpose of providing services to LocalVIP and to maintain appropriate security standards.

Business Partners

When you make a purchase at a LocalVIP business, the business receives information necessary to process your transaction and verify your cash back eligibility. Businesses do not receive your full account details.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of LocalVIP, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Transaction and financial records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial recordkeeping requirements. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update or correct your account information at any time through the app settings.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
• Opt-Out of Marketing: You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or updating your notification preferences in the app. Transactional and security notifications cannot be disabled while your account is active.
• Location: You may disable location permissions for the LocalVIP app at any time in your device settings. Some location-based features will not function without location access.

6. Children's Privacy

The LocalVIP Service, including all financial features, is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at localvip.com/contact and we will take steps to delete that information.

Users between the ages of 13 and 17 may use limited features of the LocalVIP app for browsing only. All account creation, financial transactions, cash back, and referral program features require users to be 18 or older.

7. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You may request information about the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the purposes for collection, and any third parties with whom it has been shared in the past 12 months.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
• Do Not Sell: LocalVIP does not sell personal information. We do not need to offer an opt-out because we do not engage in this practice.

8. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The LocalVIP app and website may contain links to third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through LocalVIP.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.
